Gary Arlen
For nearly 20 years, Gary has accurately analyzed the
emergence of new media, forecasting the evolution of customer-controlled
video and data services. Gary has published future-looking
periodicals and consults for clients seeking strategic
and business guidance to enter these new markets and is
known for his insights into the development of applications,
especially interactive content for Internet, two-way TV
and other emerging systems.
Among his specialties is what he calls "inter-species" breeding
to integrate different types of services on new hybrid
platforms. Gary's outlooks are published in industry
journals, and his commentary is widely sought in the business
and consumer press.
Robert W. Rosentel
Starting in 1990, Bob was on the forefront of ITV and
VOD with AT&T. After joining Cablevision
Systems Corportation in 1995, Bob was instrumental in
the many interactive projects, including Video on Demand,
deployment of cable modems and the development of Cablevision’s
Emmy Award winning digital TV service called iO on
the new SONY digital set top box.
Bob started out designing scenery and lighting for theater
and television, working at Radio City Music Hall, on Broadway
musicals, NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, and on many
AT&T TV projects. His expertise ranges from
consumer testing, product development and user interface
design to developing training courses and materials, operational
tasks of interactive services, field trials and client/vendor/partner
relationships.
Brian Werther
For more than 15 years, Brian has led comprehensive
and cutting-edge business, product and marketing initiatives
for a number of Blue Chip companies. As a senior
business development and marketing professional, Brian’s
experience has ranged from developing strategic business
plans to business & financial planning advisory services
to the launching of new business ventures. His background
spans several industries including Cable and Broadband
delivery systems, telephony, B2B, e-Commerce and consumer
financial services.
Brian’s functional experience in marketing, financial
analysis, competitive analysis and research has allowed
him to provide ongoing insight into market shifts in the
multi-channel video, telephony and online markets. Brian’s
experience includes management positions at Citibank,
American Express and Cablevision Systems Corporation.
David O. Wicks
David Wicks has over 35 years experience in management
of communications companies, strategic planning, consulting
and the development of new businesses. In addition he
has devoted over two decades of service to not for profit
organizations. Currently he is Chairman of the Board of
Cable Positive, a major AIDS charity and he is Chairman
of The Interactive Television Foundation.
A former investment banker and lecturer at graduate
business schools, David was awarded The Vanguard Award
for Young Leadership by the National Cable & Telecommunications
Association in 1978 and was elected a Pioneer by the CATV
industry in 2001. David has testified and consulted with
The United States Congress, The Federal Communications
Commission and foreign governments and corporations. He
is listed in Who’s Who in the United States and
the World.
